Direct international express trains operate between Minsk and practically every European capital. From Minsk you can take a train to any other city in Belarus, Baltic States, or CIS countries.
All trains arrive to and leave from the Minsk Central Railway Station. The first building of the railway station was constructed in 1872. Since then it has been rebuilt several times. In December 30, 2000 a new completed building was opened. Nowadays this station is able to serve more than 7 thousands of passengers. The system of pedestrian subway links the railway station with the platforms, the square in front of the Station, a bus station and with the underground station “Ploshchad Lenina”. Minsk Central Railway Station is situated in the very center of the capital of Belarus.
The new Central Railway Station in Minsk offers all the services a traveler needs, most of them are available 24/7. It accommodates restaurants, bars, a game zone, a waiting room, a locker room, a pharmacy and many shops. Everything is signposted with easily recognizable pictograms.
